When you vote on polls, we record your choice and generate an anonymous hash from limited device/browser characteristics to prevent duplicate voting. This hash cannot identify you personally.
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how users interact with OddPoll. This includes page views, poll interactions, and general usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected by OddPoll. Google may process data according to its own policies.
If you opt in to push notifications, we store your browser’s subscription details (endpoint, keys) so we can notify you about new polls. You can disable notifications at any time through your browser or device settings.
Data is stored securely in encrypted databases. Voting data is anonymized with SHA256 hashing, making it impossible to trace votes back to individual users.
We apply industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Ads are served through Google AdSense, which may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads relevant to you. Google’s use of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. In certain regions, you may see a consent prompt managed by Google.
We use Google Analytics to monitor traffic and usage. Google Analytics may set cookies to collect anonymous usage statistics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We use browser local storage to remember your preferences (such as dark mode) and prevent duplicate poll prompts. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Third-party services (e.g., Google Ads, Analytics) may set cookies for advertising and analytics. These cookies are subject to their own privacy policies.
Voting data and anonymous hashes are retained indefinitely for poll integrity. Push subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe or they expire as inactive.
While we do not collect personal identifiers, you still have choices:
Users in certain regions (EU/EEA/UK, California) may have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA. Please refer to Google’s consent tools and privacy notices for details on ads and analytics processing.
OddPoll is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of OddPoll after changes means you accept the revised policy.
